Understanding Worcester’s Charter

With Worcester’s 2023 election nearly here, it is worthwhile to release a brief regarding how local government in the City of Worcester is organized in order to create better informed voters. The Worcester Regional Research Bureau has released several briefs this year on Worcester’s government in anticipation of the November Election. This latest addition to this series will outline the powers and responsibilities of the City Council and the City Manager as laid out in the City Charter.
