The city of Northampton launched two online surveys Wednesday with the goal of both identifying residents’ internet needs and determining the community’s next steps in terms of whether it should implement a municipal broadband system.
The dual surveys, one for residents and another for businesses, are designed to identify both parties’ current and future internet requirements, Northampton Mayor David Narkwicz’s office said in a statement. Data from the questionnaires will ideally help the city evaluate the potential for municipal broadband.
