WORCESTER – Ensuring equitable treatment and services for all students was the prevailing theme Thursday night as audience members gave input on the district’s next long-term strategic plan at a school forum at Worcester East Middle School.
Several attendees also spoke about the need for the schools to have appropriate cultural and social understanding of the system’s diverse student population.
Input was provided by around 20 people at Thursday’s forum, which was the second of three planned community meetings the school department and its local partners intend to have in 2017 as they develop the new strategic plan. That document, once it’s finished later this winter, will serve as an overarching guide for the district and its decision-makers for years to come.
