WORCESTER – The Thomas S. Green Public Service Awards are a chance, for one day at least, to thrust into the spotlight municipal employees who distinguish themselves in quieter ways.
The annual awards presentation at Assumption College Wednesday night brought together four recipients from four very different corners of the day-to-day operations of the city.
Brian Cummings, Debra Donahue, Amanda Gregoire and Hermes Rivera received the nod this year. The awards, given out since 1988, are organized and presented by The Research Bureau.
