WORCESTER – The School Department plans to raise funds of up to $100,000 to develop a strategic plan for the district.
Superintendent Maureen Binienda told the School Committee last week she and other city leaders involved in the effort have targeted former state education commissioner and Fitchburg State University president Robert Antonucci to lead the project.
The plan is expected to cost between $50,000 and $100,000, but Ms. Binienda assured committee members her administration will not dig into the district’s budget to pay for it.
“This is not going to cost the Worcester public schools anything,” she said.
