WORCESTER — The Common Core State Standards dictate curricula, the study of literature is being phased out and students are being taught a new kind of math.
According to panelists at a “Digging into the Common Core” workshop Monday afternoon at Worcester Technical High School, these are just a sampling of the myths surrounding the Common Core, a set of national academic standards that grew out of a 2007 report by the nonpartisan National Governors Association.
