Schools need many paths for good teachers
An important lesson emerged from The Research Bureau’s panel discussion Tuesday afternoon at Assumption College on recruiting and retaining quality teachers: Just as with some algebra problems, there’s more than one solution that satisfies the equation.
The panelists included Tony Ashton, a managing director at Teach for America; Jesse Solomon, executive director at the Boston Teacher Residency; Assumption professor Eric Howe; and Tracy O’Connell Novick of the Worcester School Committee.
