Nearly a year after approving the district’s new long-term strategic plan, the School Committee on Thursday heard Superintendent Maureen Binienda’s first progress report on her administration’s efforts to meet the document’s biannual benchmarks.
Adopted last September, the strategic plan, developed by the Worcester Education Collaborative and the Worcester Regional Research Bureau in collaboration with the superintendent, establishes a range of goals for the district to meet by 2023 in areas like academic achievement, student discipline and teacher diversity.
