To have a great city you need a great school system, renewing the community as it educates new generations for careers and for roles as future leaders, and in attracting new residents and businesses drawn by the strength of its schools.
Worcester’s renaissance is putting the community ahead of most of the state’s cities, particularly given its status as a Gateway community. But to keep up the momentum we see in both the city’s development and in initiatives bearing fruit in its public schools, what outside experts have referred to as a “high-performing” urban school system must continue showing progress in meeting difficult challenges.
