WORCESTER – He didn’t grow up here, but as the grandson of Jacob and Frances Hiatt, Jonathan Kraft visited often, and dropped some serious old-school Worcester on the audience at the Worcester Regional Research Bureau’s 30th annual meeting Thursday at the DCU Center.
Wrestling and roller derby at the Auditorium? Check. Doubling up on sandwiches at Weintraub’s? Yup. Dinner at the El Morocco? Obviously.
There was kite-flying on Assumption College’s front lawn, too, but Mr. Kraft seemed to reserve a special fondness for one of the city’s great but long-gone landmarks, Capitol Toys.
