Worcester has a problem, and it’s one we’re glad to see: How to build upon the considerable successes the city has enjoyed over the last decade and more?
That was among the themes that emerged from the Research Bureau’s latest Francis Harrington Forum on Municipal Government, “Degrees of Separation: Retaining College Graduates in Greater Worcester,” held last Thursday afternoon at Assumption College.
One could look at the plans of the city’s many college graduates, conclude that the city is losing most of them to Boston and other places well outside of Massachusetts, and simply give up.
