WORCESTER — With a re-configured downtown and with a slew of ongoing “brick-and-mortar” projects, city officials confidently believe that Worcester is poised to become a regional mecca for development.
Now, municipal leaders say they have to carefully cultivate the right developers in order to establish stable businesses that will broaden the commercial tax base and create good-paying jobs.
Last week, panelists attending a Worcester Regional Research Bureau forum at Worcester Polytechnic Institute had some ideas on just how to do that.
